As several folks in the online community pointed out, the author could easily explain that this is a liability. If they were absent while this lady's kids were using their pool, it would be a disaster if one of them got injured. One person in the comments section suggested that the author should put up a scary sign explaining this fact. Perhaps that would finally scare her away. An alarm could also do the trick!
